As Christmas will soon be here, we wanted to send you some information to help you plan your shipments over the festive season.

Opening hours

Please note our customer service department is closed on 25th, 26th December and 1st January.

On 24th and 31st December we are open 8.00am – 4.00pm and for the rest of the period we will be open as normal.

If you are unfortunate enough to be working whilst we are closed, you can still book your shipments with us online at virginatlanticcargo.com or cargoportalservices.com.

Trucking

Trucking schedule

Please note our worldwide trucking schedule will not be operational on the following dates:

UK/Europe – 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st December and 1st January

US – 25th, 26th December and 1st January

South Africa – 23rd December – 5th January

Australia – 25th December and 1st January

Hong Kong – operating as normal

Advanced information system

Did you know you can now pre alert us of your delivery using our advanced information systems (AiS).

Please contact Claudia Carley, email claudia.carley@abs5.co.uk at ABS to arrange an account to use this system.

 

Valuables

Valuable shipments

Please note that we will require notification by midday on 23rd December for any vault services during

the following times for shipments out of and into LHR:

24th December 11.59pm – 27th December 5.00am

31st December 11.59pm – 2nd January 5.00am

Equipment returns

To help reduce any impact on our service levels during this busy time, please could you return any

ULD and pallet equipment that will not be used for export shipments within 72 hours. All equipment

returns should report to West Point, London Heathrow and these will be offloaded with priority. We

kindly ask that you only order the minimum amount of equipment that you require and do not use our equipment on other airlines.
